Launched in 2008, the catchphrase was... Find 30 and find a better you!
The campaign was aimed at including 30 minutes of activity in your day for a healthier lifestyle.
Ten years on and this is even more relevant in today's fast paced, and often sedentary, lifestyles...we sit in the car, sit at work, and then slump on the couch for the evening! Sitting has become the new smoking!
Including exercise in your daily routine provides both physical and mental health benefits by having a positive impact on mood, energy, sleep, weight and risk of preventable conditions such as cardiovascular disease.
I've put in a nearly week's worth just on yesterday's activities alone! (Not a usual day, tbh!!) ✊Rebounding, beach walk, personal training and yoga!
Here are some fun ways to include 30 minutes of exercise in your day:
🚙 Park your car further away when you reach your destination and walk the rest of the way 🚶♀️Take the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator 💃Take a dance or Zumba class 🌳Bush/beach/dog walking/hiking 🚶♂️Join a walking group 🤼♀️Play with the kids and/or pets ☯️Take a yoga or Pilates class
